Childhood cancer survivors are at risk for reduced ovarian function after high doses of alkylating agents and with older age at diagnosis. Important risk factors for ovarian dysfunction were use of alkylating agents, specifically procarbazine and busulfan, and older age at treatment. It is imperative that nation-wide registries guarantee long term follow-up during the adult life of cancer survivors.
