First evidence of 7KC action as sensitizing agent on in vitro multidrug resistance CML model. 7KC induces cell death with apoptotic features in a dose dependent manner altering several molecular pathways. 7KC alters drug response through cell cycle arrest and induction of misfolded protein response beyond classical MDR1 mechanism. 7KC co-incubation with chemotherapeutic drugs, VCN and DNR, induces cell death in MDR cell lines at lower concentrations.
