Peppermint irradiation caused an increase on phenolic compounds concentration. Irradiation did not cause significant changes in the antibacterial activity of the plants. Peppermint (10 kGy) showed the highest cytotoxicity in different tumour cell lines. Irradiation seems to cause different effects in virucidal effects.
