Contextual and compositional data of ancient Maya (900–300 BC) greenstone artifacts (triangulates) is presented. Triangulates may represent a regional expression of an ideological system that imbued greenstones with cosmological significance. They linked distant regions of Mesoamerica through exchange of materials and information.
