Photocatalytic membrane was developed by well-organized mesoporous TiO2 layer on a porous alumina support. The PVP precoating on alumina support provided better structural properties of TiO2 layer. The PVP precoating on alumina support was the key to improve antifouling property and permeate quality. Mesoporous TiO2 membrane combined with UV illumination improved organic adsorption and its photocatalytic activity. Photocatalytic activity of TiO2 membrane was dependent upon operational conditions determining fouling rate at membrane surface.
