Porous polyimides (PPI) are prepared by pluronic-assisted hydrothermal method (HT-PF). This method yields microporous PPI whereas solvothermal yields micro-mesoporous PPI. PPIs-(HT-PF) act as supports to heterogenize soluble transition metal complexes. Fe-PPIs-(HT-PF) acts as efficient catalyst for the alkylation of amines with alcohols. Pd-PPIs-(HT-PF) are active catalysts in Suzuki Miyaura CC coupling reactions.
