The addition of Na or K on Ce/TiO2 can generate new sites for NOx adsorption. The newly-absorbed NOx species over Ce/TiO2-Na (K) are inactive in SCR reaction. The SCR reactions are all controlled by both the E–R and the L–H mechanisms.
