Surface tension and density of m-xylene + n-alkane mixtures at 293.15 K have been reported. The standard Gibbs energy of adsorption has been calculated using the extended Langmuir and Shereshefsky models. The surface free energy change of replacing one mole of solute with one mole of solvent in surface region has been evaluated. Surface mole fraction of solute has been calculated. The excess number of molecular layers of solute in the surface region has been calculated.
