The meso-silica MCM-41 was inorganically modified with iron oxide. The Fe-modified MCM-41 enhanced the adsorptive removal of aniline. The enhanced effect depended on the Fe loading amount. The Fe-induced pore enlarging and electrostatic force enhanced aniline adsorption.
