SiO2-ZrO2 nanofiltration membranes were prepared with different Si/Zr molar ratios. SiO2 and SiO2-ZrO2 (9/1, 7/3) membranes were unstable in water at 90 °C. SiO2-ZrO2 (5/5, 3/7) membranes showed excellent hydrothermal stability in hot water. SiO2-ZrO2 (5/5, 3/7) membranes showed high chemical stability between pH 2 and 12.
