There is little data in the literature on the toxic effects of Radix Dipsaci. RD-wE can induce salivation and/or soft feces in F344 rats over 1000 mg/kg bw/day. RD-wE did not produce any critical toxic signs up to 2000 mg/kg bw/day in rats.
