Wound repair in a coral as a function of ocean acidification (OA) was investigated. Massive Porites spp. was studied in Moorea, French Polynesia. Experiments were conducted in 2014 and 2015 with wounds simulating fish corallivory. Damage to tissue and skeleton reduced calcification in one year, but not the next. OA (~ 1000 μatm PCO2) did not affect area-normalized calcification or regeneration.
