A catalysts screening platform for azide–alkyne cycloaddition was realized by ICP-MS/MS. The yields of Co+ and Sc+ ions as catalysts were found even higher than the Cu+ ions. The ICP-MS/MS platform can be used to discover new single atom/ion catalysts in reactions.
