Use of MWCNTs for in situ remediation of contaminated sediments was explored. Phytotoxicity of contaminated sediments before and after remediation was evaluated. Root growth was more sensitive to the changes of pollutant concentration. Phytotoxicity might inaccurately indicate the changes of pollutant content.
