Prognosis of patients at formally same disease stages depends on RCC histology. Metastatic non-clear cell RCC is more aggressive comparing with clear cell RCC. The targeted therapy has impact on the survival of these patients. There are no evidences of efficacy of checkpoint inhibitors in non-clear cell RCC.
