Neuro-adaptive control design for speed tracking in buck converter fed PMDC motor. Unknown profile of load torque is estimated online using Chebyshev neural networks. Proposed design offers faster convergence in torque estimation and output tracking. Transient performance analysis gives an insight to tuning of controller parameters. Experimental validation is carried out on a buck converter fed DC motor prototype.
