Electrochemical property of solid solutions formed in (La,Sr)(Co,Fe)O3 − δ cathode/doped-CeO2 interlayer/Y2O3-ZrO2 electrolyte system during operation of solid oxide fuel cells
The ionic conductivity of solid solutions formed in LSCF/SDC/YSZ was studied. Their conductivity was more than one order of magnitude lower than that of YSZ. The formation of Sm2O3–Y2O3–ZrO2 was mainly responsible for lower conductivity. The doping effect of Sm3 + and Gd3 + on the conductivity of YSZ was also studied. The Sm2O3–Y2O3–ZrO2 solid solution showed lower conductivity than Gd2O3–Y2O3–ZrO2.
