IgG4-related disease is an autoimmune fibrosing disease whose pathology is still in discussion. The current consensus diagnostic criteria are based on pathological findings, not in serum IgG4 levels. Lymph nodes, submandibular and lacrimal glands, and pancreas are usually affected. At the moment, corticosteroids are the only validated treatment. Reports on the use of immunosuppressant agents and biologics are promising.
