Bacteria ZSY-1 synthesizes volatile organic compounds with antifungal activity. Phenol (4-chloro-3-methyl) could inhibit the growth of plant pathogenic fungi. Pyrazine (2,5-dimethyl) and benzothiazole could inhibit A. solani and B. cinerea. Phenol-2,4-bis (1,1-dimethylethyl) is main substance to delay pigment production.
