A controllable photoresponse and photovoltaic performance in Bi4Ti3O12 ferroelectric thin films

Polycrystalline BIT thin films were prepared on FTO substrates by sol-gel method. The unpoled BIT film revealed an obvious photovoltaic effect. Wide tunability of photovoltaic and photocurrent response was achieved in BIT films. BIT was proved to be a promising alternative for ferroelectric photovoltaics.
