Thermal expansion coefficients, TEC, of cathode material for SOFC were measured.
TEC of LaNi0.6Fe0.4O3 − δ, LNF64, is independent on P(O2) and 1.27 × 10− 5 K− 1 at 500 °C.
La0.6Sr0.4Co0.2Fe0.8O3 − δ shows larger TEC which increases with decreasing P(O2).
LNF64 and 8YSZ shows high thermo-mechanical compatibility with close TEC.
Dependence of TEC on P(O2) is ascribed to the variation of oxygen nonstoichiometry.
