Photographs evaluated in sequential order was similar to the traditional visual analyses of beef colour acceptability. Visual analyses evaluated by photographs, presented in random order, resulted in a higher shelf-life. The implicit information of days of display influenced consumer's visual analysis performed in trays. Random photographs presented a more constant variation among consumers through the display period.
