Preparation of novel composites based on hydrophilized and functionalized polyacrylonitrile membrane-immobilized NZVI for reductive transformation of metronidazole
Novel hydrophilized and functionalized PAN membrane-NZVI composites were developed. Removal of metronidazole by the composites was 2.03 times higher than sole NZVI. Reaction rate and Fe loading were notably superior to reported matrix materials. The aggregation and release of NZVI were effectively reduced. The co-solutes apart from humic acid had a negligible effect on reaction system.
