Influence of parylene films on proliferation and differentiation of PC-12 cells were investigated. UV-treated parylene films were observed to increase the cell adhesion and outgrowth of neurites. Changes in marker proteins and proportion of cell cycle were monitored on parylene films. UV-treated parylene films facilitated proliferation as well as differentiation of PC-12 cells.
