We prepare ZTA composite containing 0–10 vol% by sol-gel followed by powder mixing. The increase in the YSZ content restrains the alumina grain growth. ZTA composites showed a thermal diffusivity decrease with the increase in temperature. The decrease in both grain size and porosity content reduces the thermal diffusivity.
