A System Dynamics Modelling approach to predict the long-term sustainability of the cork oak montado ecosystem. Limitations to cork oak regeneration in montado result from livestock and the use of heavy machinery. This study is a first step to provide projections of long-term population trends under realistic social-ecological change scenarios.
