Formed [Pt(Et2dien)Cl]Cl, where Et2dien = N,N-diethyldiethylenetriamine. Reaction with 5′-GMP leads to [Pt(Et2dien)(GMP)] as expected. Reaction with N-AcMet at low pH leads to two sets of resonances, with one converting to the other. Reaction of both N-AcMet and 5′-GMP at low pH leads to unique product. Unique product has both N-AcMet and 5′-GMP coordinated, Et2dien is bidentate.
