A novel photocatalyst Ag/AgBr/BiOBr microplates have been synthesized by precipitation method. The obtained band gap for Ag/AgBr/BiOBr microplates was to be 2.33 eV which is significant in enhancing the visible light induced photocatalysis. Degradation of a pharmaceutical drug viz. levofloxacin was obtained in a shorter duration.
