New tetrasubstituted phthalocyanines bearing morpholinoethoxy groups were prepared. A single crystal of 1 for X-ray diffraction was grown from chloroform solution. Photophysical properties of compounds 2–4 were investigated in THF. The fluorescence of 2–4 are effectively quenched by 1,4-benzoquinone in THF.
