Tetralin hydrocracking was studied as a model reaction for PAHs upgrading to BTX.
Various metals having different hydrogenation activity were loaded on H-Beta.
Ni-Sn/H-Beta and CoMo-S/H-Beta exhibited highly selective hydrocracking behavior.
The catalysts showed BTX and BTX+C9A yields of ∼48.1 and ∼55.5 wt%, respectively.
