Infills are strongly damaged during seismic events and may dangerously fail out-of-plane. Prediction of out-of-plane capacity allows estimating safety against out-of-plane collapses. An in-depth literature review of computational models is supplied highlighting crucial aspects. A reliability analysis of literature models against experimental tests results is provided. New perspectives may come by fiber-section macromodels. A possible solution is profiled.
