Selecting the best AOP for isoxazolyl penicillins degradation as a function of water characteristics: Effects of pH, chemical nature of additives and pollutant concentration
Mineralization was almost complete for UV/TiO2 and practically zero for Ultrasound. UV/H2O2/Fe2+ and ultrasound were improved at pH 3 while natural pH favored UV/TiO2. Only ultrasound remained unaffected in presence of hydrophilic organic additives. Bicarbonate and oxalic acid improved ultrasound and UV/H2O2/Fe2+ respectively. The best AOP system according to the water matrix composition was identified.
