Polymyxins are antibiotics which have been used for the treatment of gram-negative bacterial infections.
Two LC–MS/MS methods were developed to quantify three polymyxins (B1, B2 and B1-1) in human plasma and treated urine.
This is the first report for the quantitation of polymyxin B1-1 in biological matrixes along with polymyxin B1 and B2.
The LLOQ achieved in this method is the lowest LLOQ published to date.
These methods have been used to support regulated clinic studies.
