Stratified first degree relatives of schizophrenia into high, moderate and above average risk categories. Family history along with biological factors affecting schizophrenia were risk predictors. Consistent risk estimates were obtained from two independent samples using the regression equation. Proposed stratification of risk easier for family members to understand and to consider their risk realistically.
