Wave propagation and transient response of a fluid-filled FGM cylinder with rigid core using the inverse Laplace transform

The effects of rigid core on the transient response of FGM cylinder are studied using a laminate model.

The problems are solved analytically in the Laplace domain, and the results obtained are transformed to the real-time space using the Durbin's numerical inversion method.

The Von-misses stress decreased considerably by increasing the rigid core radius.

It is shown that the rigid core plays the role of a passive vibrations controller.
