Annealing improves the surface uniformity and reduces the optical scattering losses. Hydrogen bond breaking in thin films have been observed by Raman spectroscopy. Switch over behavior was observed in both closed and open aperture Z-scan curves. Optical switching property of the metal complex was demonstrated.
