New Chilo suppressalis RyR alternative splicing site and two encoding genes RyR amino acid sequence KENLG is found only in Lepidoptera. Chlorantraniliprole injection greatly increases larval RyR mRNA expression levels. RyR phylogenetic diversity contributes to diamide insecticide selectivity.
