Pulsed Micro-reactor is proposed for non-catalytic gas–solid reaction kinetics. This technique offers a simple and viable alternative to find kinetic parameters. Uniform reaction methodology to quantify kinetic parameters is presented. Methodology validated using data obtained for oxidation of Cu and reduction of CuO. Both reactions were found to be surface reaction controlled.
