Bilayered manganite Nd1.4Sr1.6Mn2O7 was prepared by a solid-state reaction method. Crystal structure of this sample was studied by XRD refinement. Nd1.4Sr1.6Mn2O7 compound could be a promising material for magnetic refrigerator. Nd1.4Sr1.6Mn2O7 compound undergoes a second-order magnetic transition.
