Porous pile was applied to muddy tidal flat sediment. Porous pile effectively generated groundwater flow in the muddy tidal flats. Porous pile led to increase in DO and soil strength. Increase in DO concentration leads to an increase in benthos. Porous pile is a promising technology for remediation of muddy tidal flats.
