An ultrasound detector based on slot micro-ring resonator is proposed in this study.

The proposed ultrasound detector achieves high sensitivity and resolution.

The sensitivity is about two orders higher than that of polymer resonator.

The 3dB bandwidth is approximately 540 MHz, leading to an axial resolution of 1.2 µm.

The proposed detector is CMOS compatible and can be extended for array fabrication.
