Effects of endophyte-infected and non-infected tall fescue residues on aggregate stability in four texturally different soils
详细信息    查看全文
文摘

Soil organic carbon (SOC) and aggregate stability were greater and basal soil respiration (BSR) was lower in finer soils.

Increasing plant residues significantly increased SOC, BSR and aggregate stability.

Treating soils with endophyte-infected (E+) residues increased SOC and aggregate stability.

E+ residues decreased BSR due to toxic effects of phenolic compounds on microbes.

Tall fescue residues (especially of E +) enhanced SOC storage and aggregate stability.
