A simultaneous increase in reproduction and longevity are limited by trade-offs. Aging increases oxidative damage and antioxidant defenses in the brains of breeders. The correlation network indicates that the redox profile changed mainly in breeders. Most of the parameters differ between non-breeders and breeders at 12 and 24 months.
