PCs production in D. salina was enhanced more remarkably by As(V) than by As(III). The quantities of PCs in D. salina depended on the As uptake, which was mediated by phosphate in the culture. Upon BSO treatment, the level of GSH in D. salina decreased under +P condition but did not change under –P condition.
