Knowledge about the attachment process, thanks to Mary Main's works went over the plain observation of withdrawal in order to describe presentation process and narrativity. A link with analytical theory was even found out by means of the transgenerational features of internal working models. Nevertheless, few observations were realized in severe psychiatric patients. A study in a group of 11 teenagers, living in a day hospital was realized by using the « stories to complete test » with the purpose to measure their ability in thinking separation from our care center. The results showed differents patterns of attachment in a same diagnostic group. The ways in coming out of our day hospital were improved by taking into account those results: gradual exits, and possibility by means of an association of former patients to come back, invited for special events.
