Responsivity optimization of methane gas sensor through the modification of hexagonal nanorod and reduction of defect states

A hydrothermal growth technique is introduced to synthesize hexagonal high sensitive zinc oxide (ZnO) with large surface area to volume ratio. The defect states are also optimized for get better sensing performance. Different properties for sensing material sample and uniform ZnO nanorod are characterized through Photoluminescence (PL), XRD, XPS, I-V. Hexagonal nanorod based methane gas sensor.
