Validation of a Magnetic Resonance Imaging-based Auto-contouring Software Tool for Gross Tumour Delineation in Head and Neck Cancer Radiotherapy Planning
A novel auto-contouring tool is developed for oropharyngeal and laryngeal GTV delineation from MRI. The auto-contouring tool provides capability for three-dimensional reconstruction and volume calculation. The auto-contouring tool results are validated against peer-reviewed and two experts' manual contours. The auto-contouring tool can reduce inter- and intra-variability and assist clinicians with radiotherapy planning. The auto-contouring tool can perform robustly against variations caused by different MRI scanner models.
