HPV-related anal cancer case is increasing but the appropriate screening is lacking. Link of HPV load and anal cytology in MSM with and without HIV-1 were investigated. High HPV16, 18 loads, but not 52, are associated with anal cytologic abnormalities. Utility of high viral loads for abnormal anal cytology were assessed.
