Sediment pulse evolution and the role of network structure
详细信息    查看全文
文摘
Network structure can affect sediment pulse evolution at a watershed scale. Network geometry (tributary junctions) can synchronize sediment pulses. The spatial pattern of relative transport capacity helps control pulse evolution. The effect of storage is a function of sediment pulse size and background inputs. Areas upstream of steep reaches may control downstream transport of bed material.
