Liposome aggregation and fusion occur in concert with PC hydrolysis by PC-PLC. PLC in solution has high fluorescence and exhibit appreciable REES. CD data at the far-UV and near-UV regions of PLC in solution are in excellent agreement with the crystallographic reports. Lipid raft reconstituted with some PC is the best substrate for inducing structural flexibility of PLC and vesicle fusion. There are marked differences in conformation in crystal/solution and active states of the PLC
